Most people that visit Cambodia will visit Angkor Wat temple. Angkor Wat temple and the surrounding temples are so nice to be visited at sunrise and in the early morning and late in the afternoon time towards sunset. There are 2 reasons for this, the light creates a totally different atmosphere, and it is not so hot. Break up your day and avoid the heat of the hot sun. Your pass will be valid for as many visits as you wish - so wake up early, and see the sites of Ankor before it turn hot. Then, mid to late morning, come back to your hotel or guest house in Siem Riep to unwind in the heat of the day. Then, when the weather cools down, revisit to the temples for sunset.
Take your time - if you like to rent a bicycle (pedal or electric), this is the cool ways to see the temples, and it gives you independence but if you are not used to riding in hot environments it may be a bit hard.
Just about everybody in around Angkor Wat is a "guide". Moto dops (motor bike taxis) will frequently tell you they are guides but just take you from one place to another place. Some guides from the guesthouses are so nice - but do not be careless, many of them have no idea and make things up, and some just reel out dates and figures. A best pocket guide book of the temples and history of Angkor Wat, or a nice Cambodia vacation guide book will be so useful for historical background and also maps. Then, your personal intuition is far the best guide.
